How to reach Churdhar Peak
Churdhar trek from Chopal
It is advisable to start trek from the Chopal side, in the upper Shimla. Shimla-Chopal-Sarain is the shortest route covering a total distance of 103 km. From Sarain, you will start climbing to Churdhar which is at a distance of 7 km. If you only have a limited amount of time, this short 2 days trek starting form Sarain is a great option.
Churdhar trek form Nauradhar: Nauradhar, which is the second base of this hike, lies 67 km away from Solan. Nauradhar is a small town on Solan – Rajghat –Sangrah road and is about 140 km away from Chandigarh. Nauradhar-Churdhar climb covers approx. 20 km distance and it will take 7 to 8 hours to reach the top.
Churdhar trek from Haripurdhar
Haripurdhar is the third base of this trek at a distance of approx. 50 km feasible for the long route. Haripurdhar lies in Sirmaur district. It is the longest distance is preferred by those who have fine trekking skills.

Weather conditions of Churdhar are not same all over the year. From the month of June to the month of September, trekkers must expect plenty of rain and prepare for it accordingly. After September, the weather gets clear and greenish rampant on every side. At this time, the sky is also clear and spreading blue colour that you cannot generally see in the cities.
The average temperature of Churdhar in October is from 25 to 30 degree Celsius during the day and at the night, it decreases to 15 to 16 degree Celsius. And later, it continuous dropdown can be felt in the temperature. It can be as low as 5 to 10 degree Celsius in the December month. Here, you can check the November second week weather of Churdhar.
